New Website

Welcome to the new Los Metates Studios website! I’m Matthew Evans, lead director with Los Metates, and although I’ve been making films for the past eight years or so, I figured that it was about time I got an official website. If you’re new to the awesome world of Los Metates Studios, welcome, and if you’ve been a longtime viewer or collaborator, welcome as well!

Here on the blog portion of the site, I’ll be posting a wide variety of content on as regular a basis as I can – when I post new videos on the LMS YouTube channel, you’ll hear more about the making of them here, as well as my thoughts on the current state of filmmaking in general, from the world of Hollywood blockbusters and their rise and fall at the box office, to the Christian film industry, the segment of filmmaking that I hope to find myself actually working in some day. In addition, I’ll post about the experiences of working on client projects, including wedding videography, a segment of my business that has expanded rapidly in the last year, as well as other client work.

All in all, thanks for dropping by the new Los Metates Studios website, and I hope you’ll join me as this filmmaking adventure continues. My goal has always been and will continue to be to glorify God by telling the best stories possible through the medium of film – stories that are richly entertaining, that are made with excellence, and that, as always, are packed full of truth and awesomeness.
